Panels on your roof make electricity whenever it’s light, most of it between ten and four. What you use at the time is free; what you don’t is sold to the grid through the Smart Export Guarantee, or stored in a battery for the evening.

We size every system from your roof and your last year of bills, not from a standard package. A bigger system isn’t always better: past a point, you sell more to the grid for less than you pay for it.

The kit we fit

All-black monocrystalline panels of about 410 W, on aluminium rails fixed to your rafters, with a hybrid inverter in the loft or the garage. We choose makers with a UK office and warranty support, and we’ll tell you which ones before you sign.

What it could save

A typical 4 kWp system on a south roof in the vale makes about 3,800 kWh a year. Used and sold at today’s prices, that’s typically £520 to £760 a year. Your own estimate depends on your roof and your habits: try the calculator.

How it goes

  1. Survey

We measure the roof, check the rafters and the fuse board, and note anything that shades it through the year.

  2. Design

A layout on a photo of your roof and an MCS estimate of what it makes, with a fixed price.

  3. Fit

Scaffold the day before, then rails, panels, inverter and cabling, usually in a day.

  4. Switch on

Tested, switched on and the app on your phone before we leave.

Questions

Will panels damage my roof?

No. The hooks sit under the slates or tiles and fix to the rafters; nothing goes through a slate. We replace any that crack while we work.

Do I need a battery?

Not to start. Every inverter we fit can take one later. A battery makes most sense if you’re out in the day or have an electric car.
